Dear friends,
On Saturday, the author’s proof arrived in my mailbox.
My husband, Don, recorded the moment I opened the package. Personal, emotional, touching, and meaningful as it was, I’d like to share it with you.
I was sitting in my poetry chair—where I meditate each morning and where words often come through me. You’ll also see the beautiful place where we live here on Bainbridge Island in the Puget Sound.
She’s Here
This book has not been written in isolation. It has been received, in part, through you. We shape one another through our listening, don’t we?
I also want to share the final cover with you. It feels very complete now—the rippling water, the spaciousness, the color blue, like the spirit of Sacred Listening.
There’s something about it that speaks to lineage, to trust, to something larger than any one of us.
I’ll also be gathering a circle on April 28 for the book’s online launch—not as a formal event, but as a space to come together: to share reflections, to hear from people who have been living and contributing Sacred Listening in their lives, and to send the book out into the world.
If it calls to you, I would love to have you there. And, of course, you are welcome to invite others.
When the book becomes available on April 13, you may choose to get a copy—either as an e-book or in print. And if you feel moved to share your experience of it on Amazon, it will help the book find its way to others who may be touched by it.
No urgency. No pressure. Just a door.
For now, I simply wanted to be with you in this moment—and to say thank you.
For reading either my posts, or the serialized book, or both.
For being here.
For receiving this work.
With love,
Amba

Amba, so happy for you and the completion of your new book. Can't wait to read.
